Ian Wright Blast Koscielny After Transfer For Bordeaux

Former Arsenal striker, Ian Wright, has lashed out at Laurent Koscielny over the ‘disrespect’ he has shown the club, following his move to Bordeaux.

Koscielny completed his £4.6m move to Bordeaux on Tuesday and his new club unveiled their signing with a short promotional video.

However, it has not gone down well with Arsenal fans, as it shows Koscielny wearing a Gunners shirt, before taking it off to reveal his new Bordeaux kit underneath.

Wright, in reaction to the video, tweeted:

“This hurts. The level of disrespect.

“You should be ashamed for the way you’ve left the club after 9 years!

“Got what you wanted and still trying to have a dig. Hope it’s worth it in the long run.”

He added in another tweet: “So unnecessary. 9 years and you do this…makes no sense.”

Relations between Koscielny and Arsenal quickly soured, after he refused to go on the pre-season tour of America, in a bid to force a move away from north London.

A tense stand-off ensued with Koscielny wanting the club to let him leave for free, despite having a year left on his contract.
